Vouchers Scheme Terms and Conditions

Voucher Scheme T&C’s

THESE VOUCHERS HAVE BEEN ISSUED BY AND ARE AVAILABLE  FOR USE BY THE HOLDER OF THE VOUCHER AT THOSE OUTLETS AS FURTHER IDENTIFIED FROM THE FOLLOWING : www.vouchersmimcol.com

T&C’s for Consumers

  1. Vouchers are valid until the 30th of September 2020.
  2. Vouchers can be used to pay for goods or services. Of the five 20 euro vouchers, four of which are to be spent on MTA licensed outlets and the remaining one on all other businesses that had to close shop as ordered by the Superintendent of Public Health.
  3. Vouchers will be of the sole bearer’s responsibility and MIMCOL will not accept liability or responsibility for vouchers that are lost, stolen or misplaced.
  4. In the event of damaged vouchers, individuals are to retain vouchers and submit to the administering entity for reissuing as stipulated in the guidelines, found on www.vouchersmimcol.com
  5. All vouchers are freely transferrable but doing so shall be at the sole risk and responsibility of the owner. MIMCOL will retain proof of delivery of the vouchers.
  6. Vouchers may be used to pay for goods or services of a higher value, on settlement of the difference
  7. Vouchers must be redeemed in full upon every purchase and may not be used to pay for goods or services of a lower value with the difference being paid in cash or by means of a credit note.
  8. Vouchers need to be used in exchange for a service/product and cannot be redeemed for cash.
  9. Vouchers defaced or altered in any way will be invalid
  10. MIMCOL and/or the Ministry for the Economy, Investments and Small Businesses will not accept responsibility for any claims, demands, losses, costs, expenses or liability of any kind whatsoever arising, suffered, arising from or in connection with any transaction or dealing between the businesses accepting the vouchers & a Voucher holder.
  1. When making use of the vouchers, the contractual relationship is between the bearer and the outlet where the vouchers are redeemed and therefore use of such vouchers must be in accordance with the relevant outlet’s terms and conditions which are to be read in addition to these.
  2. By utilising the vouchers, you are agreeing to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
  3. The use of vouchers is only eligible to those persons residing in Malta who are over 16 years of age.
  4. It is the holder’s responsibility to ensure that the voucher has been utilised in full and no claims may be made against as issuer of the voucher for failure to utilise it in full.

T&C’s for Businesses

  1. Vouchers can only be accepted as indicated by the guidelines for selected outlets found on ..
  2. All vouchers will be printed with a unique QR code that is to be scanned immediately upon payment/customer receipt issue. Original vouchers are to be kept for collection by the administering entity.
  3. All scanned vouchers are to include an uploaded scan of the corresponding receipt on the app portal provided.
  4. Businesses accepting the vouchers cannot in any way restrict the use of the vouchers to specific product ranges, brands, services nor can the use of the vouchers be restricted by bundling the different types of products, brands, services together.
  5. No restrictions on spending amount redeemable by vouchers can be set.
  6. No restrictions can be set on the number of vouchers that can be redeemed in settlement of bill/s.
  7. Businesses are to only accept and redeem the voucher amount in full and purchases by vouchers are not to be accepted for items that are less than the face value of the voucher.
  8. Once received and validated, vouchers are of the respective businesses’ sole responsibility and as such there will be no replacement of vouchers should these be lost or misplaced.
  9. In the event of unredeemed damaged vouchers, businesses are to retain vouchers and submit to the administering entity for reissuing as stipulated in the guidelines.
  10. MIMCOL and or the Ministry for the Economy, Investment and Small Businesses will not accept responsibility for any claims, demands, losses, costs, expenses or liability of any kind whatsoever arising, suffered, arising from or in connection with any transaction or dealing between the businesses accepting the vouchers & a Voucher holder. It is the businesses’ responsibility to ensure the vouchers accepted are original and are thus encouraged to make sure they check the security features included on the vouchers.
  11. It is the outlets responsibility to ensure that use of the vouchers is made by those persons who are eligible to them and that no illegal use is made of the vouchers.
  12. MIMCOL and or the Ministry for the Economy, Investment and Small Businesses reserve the right to claw back any funds transferred to businesses in the event that illegal use of the vouchers or misuse of the system
  13. Vouchers must be redeemed in full upon every purchase and may not be used to pay for goods or services of a lower value with the difference being paid in cash or by means of a credit note
  14. Any fees applied by the transaction processor to cover the costs of receiving and processing the transaction when using the voucher will be borne by the establishment. Neither the Ministry for Economy nor MIMCOL will not accept any liability for payment of such processing fees.
  15. No charges may be applied by businesses and/or any of their establishments on the holder of the voucher.

T&C’s for return of extinguished vouchers (Businesses)

  1. All vouchers are to be returned to the administering entity on select dates as agreed by appointment. Appointments can be requested via email on [email protected] or by calling on 21497970
